Farmers’ markets are good for the soul. They just are. The people are precious, the food is local, and you never know what you’ll find. Ruston has a lovely, quaint little market down town that’s open from 8am-12pm on Saturdays. It’s a bit of a stretch for a night owl such as myself to sacrifice a Saturday morning’s sleep but, it was worth it!

Angel Trumpets in August

I love my angel trumpets. I look forward to them every year. The smell they emit at night fills the air. I love walking out on my porch at night… just to smell. I know that even if nothing else goes as planned, my angel trumpets will bloom in August.
